Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Home Manager app ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information. By using Home Manager, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
- Home & Item Data: You may enter information about your homes, expenses, items and projects. This data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
- Images: The app allows you to attach images to items and other records. Images are stored locally on your device using scoped storage and are never uploaded or shared externally.
- Cloud Storage References (Premium): If you connect cloud storage providers (Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox), the app stores only file references (name, path, provider). Files are accessed on-demand via OAuth and downloaded temporarily for viewing. No cloud files are permanently copied or uploaded by the app.
- Device Identifier Hash: We generate a one-way SHA-256 hash of your device identifier for trial eligibility and entitlement verification. This hash cannot be reversed to identify you personally.
- Firebase Anonymous Authentication: The app uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication to manage trial and entitlement status. No personal identifiers (name, email, phone) are collected for this purpose.
- Settings & Preferences: Your app settings (language, theme, currency, notification preferences) are stored locally on your device.
2. Third-Party Services
Home Manager uses the following third-party services to provide core functionality:
- Google AdMob (ads)
- Google Play Billing (subscriptions)
- Firebase Authentication (anonymous sign-in for entitlement)
- Firebase Cloud Functions (entitlement and trial verification)
- Google Drive API (cloud file browsing — Premium)
- Microsoft OneDrive / Graph API (cloud file browsing — Premium)
- Dropbox API (cloud file browsing — Premium)
These services may collect information as described in their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing their policies for more details.
Advertising (AdMob)
Home Manager displays ads using Google AdMob. AdMob and its partners may collect and use information about your device, such as device identifiers, ad interactions, and possibly location, to provide and improve advertising. This may include personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your preferences and applicable law.

Subscriptions
Home Manager offers optional annual subscriptions (No-Ads and Premium) managed through Google Play Billing. Subscription purchases and billing information are handled entirely by Google Play and are subject to Google's privacy policy. We do not collect or store your payment information.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve app features (home, item, expense, project, and service management)
- To verify trial eligibility and entitlement status
- To display ads (if enabled) and manage subscriptions
- To access cloud storage files on your request (Premium feature)
4. Data Storage and Security
- All home, expense, item and project data are stored locally on your device.
- We do not operate any backend servers that store your personal data. Firebase is used solely for anonymous authentication and entitlement verification.
- OAuth tokens for cloud storage providers are stored securely using Android's EncryptedSharedPreferences.
- Cloud file downloads are temporary and stored in the app`s private cache directory. They are cleaned up after viewing.
- Device identifier hashes are generated using one-way SHA-256 encryption and cannot be reversed to identify you.
5. Data Sharing
- We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties.
- Data is only shared with third-party APIs as required for app functionality (e.g., sending a device hash to Firebase for entitlement verification).
- Cloud storage providers are accessed only when you explicitly connect your account and browse files.
6. Notifications
- Home Manager uses local notifications to remind you about upcoming expenses and scheduled services.
- Notifications are generated entirely on your device using Android WorkManager. No push notification services or external servers are involved.
- Notification data never leaves your device.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- You may delete the app at any time to remove all locally stored data.
- You can disconnect cloud storage providers at any time via the app's Settings.
- No account or registration is required. Firebase authentication is anonymous and does not collect personal identifiers.

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the app. Your continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
